Visibility is a network relationship, not a ranking.
The Visibility Graph models discovery as a chain of dependencies. A weak link anywhere — an unresolved entity, a thin citation layer, an unclear category — reduces the probability of being discovered at the end of the chain.
Business → Entity → Record → Surfaces → Citations → Discovery
Every node is a place a discovery system can fail. Traditional reporting collapses all of them into a single position number, which hides where the failure actually occurred.
Because the graph is explicit, a visibility gap can be attributed to a specific node — entity resolution, surface coverage, citation evidence, category clarity — rather than to an unexplained drop.
Improving visibility means strengthening relationships between nodes, not chasing a position on one surface.
A single ranking cannot describe a networked outcome.
The Visibility Graph shown here is an architectural model, not a live data visualization.
